I was itching to get out for a long run, after forfeiting my long run for a trip to London last weekend.
A perfect morning – blue sky, cold, but no wind.

The run took longer than it needed to. I walked to navigate around some particularly swampy puddles in the twelfth mile – and it took a while to get going again.
The last two miles were very hard – and by the end my legs were extremely sore. My thoughts kept swinging from ‘I can’t believe I’m doing this! This is amazing!’ to ‘this is so hard – how will I ever be able to add another ten miles?’
I suppose I just have to trust in the training. Running is pretty amazing; the more you try, the more you can do.
Well done, looks amazing! When is your marathon? Yes you have to trust your training alright. It will all work out

Thank you Julie. The marathon is on 19th April – Newport. Pretty scary.
